Navigating Thanksgiving Holidays #LiveItGiveIt

Would you like to get away from the pressure and politics of the Thanksgiving Day holidays but don’t know what to do? We are here to help you navigate the holidays like a pro without offending anyone.

Take a friend or lover and head for the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Once there you can relax, stroll along the canals or shop for that black leather jacket you have always wanted.

If you an art lover or like to explore, do not miss the chance to visit De Nieuwe Kerk to view the “Buddha’s Life, Path to the Present” Exhibition.  The exhibition is impressive in its scope.  “Buddha’s Life, Path to the Present” includes objects, which date from the third century A.D. to those of contemporary artists such as Ai WeiWei and Yoko Ono. De Nieuwe Kerk is a destination all on its own. It is a 15th-century church of spectacular beauty.

“The ancient works of art recount the life of Siddhartha Gautama, better known as the Buddha. Born a wealthy prince in the fifth century BC, he chose at the age of 29 to renounce his royal lifestyle and devote himself to spiritual development. The various phases in his life – his birth, renunciation, enlightenment, first sermon and death – symbolize Buddhist belief and form the narrative of this exhibition.” De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam.
