Prepping For The 2018 Emmy Awards
If you are attending the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on September 19, 2018 chances are you have a Stylist on call. We know from past experiences - meaning red carpet disasters, that sometimes Stylists do get things wrong.
Es Mode would like to act as your unofficial Stylist during this award season. We encourage you to become more proactive in driving your fashion identity. It is great to get advice from your Stylist or that “special friend” who always seem to know what works best for you. So come on, explore and have fun.
We propose some options in the accessories category for you to consider.
EVENING JACKET
If you decide not to wear a tuxedo, choose an evening jacket that is tailored to fit your body type, and forget the dog, a Tailor is a man’s best friend.
Etro: The embroidered Tuxedo Blazer is sublime. It is a slim-fitted, single-buttoned smoking blazer with peak lapels. The Blazer is embellished with Eastern-inspired ornamental embroidery and lined with a night-time Paisley design.
Dior: The one button tuxedo jacket has a peak lapel and satin details. A very French point of view, sophisticated and sleek. A perfect look to accept that award in.
Tom Ford: The Splash Jacquard Shelton Evening Jacket has a shawl lapel, satin trim, paint brush jacquard fabric which is a blend of 50% silk and 50%. This jacket is exquisite.
NECKWEAR
Neckwear is an accessory that is positioned close to the face and should enhance your features. If you are wearing a tuxedo or an evening jacket, a bowtie will make a great addition to your evening wear.
Tom Ford: The Grosgrain Classic Evening Bow Tie is made of 100% Grosgrain silk. Wearing this neckwear would add extra polish to your outfit.
Tom Ford: Go bold with the Large Satin Evening Bow Tie which is made of 100% silk.
Maison Dior: Black Silk Satin Bow Tie will work beautifully when paired with Dior tuxedo jacket.
WATCHES
Every man should have a least one major watch in his collection. During this award season, Es Mode would like you to command attention on the red carpet by wearing a watch that takes it up several notches. We have selected three major, in your face pieces for you to gag over.
Roger DuBuis: The Skeleton Double Flying Tourbillon Haute Joaillers is our number one pick. This watch is amazing! It has RD01SQ Skeleton double flying Tourbillon; 14.93 kts of diamonds and hand-wound mechanical caliber. Hurry if you would like to get your hands on one of these beauties because Roger DuBuis only made eight (8) pieces.
Ulysse Nardin: The Classico Hannibal Minute Repeater was designed as a tribute to the great Carthaginian General, Hannibal. It will make a great addition to your watch collection. And you will be the envy of your friends whenever you wear it. This watch comes with a price tag that Hannibal would appreciate, a staggering $735,000.00.
Blancpain: Le Brassus Carrousel Repetition Minutes, Calibre 235 is a unique work of art. It has a carousel flying a minute as well as a minute repeater with a cathedral stamp. It doesn’t get better than this.
CUFFLINKS
Bulgari: This pair of 18kt white gold Parentesi cufflinks is paved with diamonds and was “inspired by the travertine junction of the roman pavements” according to Bulgari. It will work well with Etro tuxedo blazer.
TACORI: The Cabochon and Tiger Iron Cufflinks is handcrafted from round Tiger Iron gemstones and encircled in silver baskets. There is a tiny Tiger Iron gemstone placed at the end of each cufflink to stunning effect.
TOM FORD: The Gold and Onyx Square Cufflinks is of modern design and would make a strong complement to the Dior tuxedo jacket. It is made of 18k yellow gold and Black Onyx.
LAPEL PINS
Lorenz Baumer: Men, command the attention at the Emmys by wearing this exquisite Lorenz Baumer Scarabee Black and White diamond brooch with your tuxedo.
